In Vedic Astrology system, a horoscope is divided into 12 parts. Each of these twelve parts is called a house or the bhava. Every house has a particular meaning, which must be understood completely to be able to comprehend the horoscope.
Every aspect of the life of an individual can be deciphered from these 12 houses. There is no area of life that one cannot read from a horoscope. But for that it is important to understand, which house stands for which areas of life. In the coming pages, the same has been covered for you in detail.
The first house on the top middle is always the Ascendant or the Lagna. The second house is the left from the first house. The third house is left from the second house and like wise, you can place each of the twelve houses of a horoscope moving in an anti clockwise direction.
In the horoscope below, the first house is the one with number one. The second is the one with number two and the one with number seven mentioned is the seventh house of the horsocope.
